The ramblings here are my personal notes in a Wiki format running on top of my own CMS. It's heavily inspired from Yaki as I fell in love with the idea of having content stored as plain text files in RFC2822 format. Why go ahead and use a database when you don't need to? RFC2822 is indeed the format for e-mail messages and it makes perfect sense when extending that idea to a CMS. You've got your headers for information that the templating system needs and your main content would follow where your email body would. Wonderfully standards compliant and extremely easy to edit, index and process. Should one wish it would be a simple matter to write a plugin to export these entries into something like Wordpress. An example of a entry would be:

I had to "roll my own" so as to speak as the shared hosting provider I am on is not able to let me run Yaki in it's current form ( the terms of services forbid running applications that bind to a port ). Hence we've now got a PHP / Zend Framework version with the barebones functionality to get it live. It has a long way to go but should be sufficient for serving the entries that are currently on it. I have managed to implement plugin functionality providing some useful extensions too. XML Sitemaps, Recent Updates and Technorati tags are some of the examples that I've implemented so far.
My day-to-day work is as a PHP Developer working on a product that manages the UK Radio Bookings with heavy use of PHP5, Zend Framework, JavaScript, Microsoft SQL Server and with the odd dabble in Cold Fusion when needed.
At home my days are spent tinkering on my Apple iMac which works well with my Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB. I've been through a few Apple machines now first starting out on a iBook and then upgrading to a first-generation Macbook Pro. I love the power and ease of use that OS X brings and have not for one moment regretted the move over to it. It's amazing to have something that "just works" and one day I'll have to write up my thoughts on Andy's Creative Zen and Windows Media Player experiences which go a long way to reinforce my move.
